Transitioning to Gratuity-Free Pricing

Founding Artist, Ro, here 👋🏼 ! Just wanted to explain the new pricing structure going into effect on June 1, 2023.

As I'm sure you've seen or heard, prices are going up everywhere - from rent, cleaning supplies, food, and most goods. This is on top of what it takes for me to offer my clientele high-end, healthy nail care services (such as continuing my education, maintaining my licenses, and keeping up with nail trends). And unfortunately for us specifically in the nail care industry, we are not offered wholesale or professional discounts on most of our supplies/materials. 

My pricing will increase between 18-22% on all services (the percentage range is to round the amount up/down). I know that this seems like a very high increase, HOWEVER, I will be transitioning to gratuity-free pricing, meaning I will no longer accept gratuity for any of my services - the price is the price, nothing more or less. For those of you that already generously leave me gratuity, your total shouldn't change.

So, why in the world would I do this, given I'm a service-based business? The answer is consistency! There is no longer any guesswork when it comes to my accounting and I can continue living in the Bay Area. I've also reached a point in my nail career of 8+ years where I no longer feel the need to accept gratuity. Those of you that have been rocking with me from the beginning, know that I've been offering a unique experience since I began and have been constantly fine-tuning to only make the experience better.
